2006:
JULY 2006
Spent another delightful week at the Queensland this year, everything just perfect, clean comfortable room and lovely breakfasts. I highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast to all who want a friendly and homely place to stay. Once again many thanks to Ann and John and all their staff for another perfect holiday.

April:  Again I keep saying this, but, I suppose it has been said many times in the past and will continue for the future, guests will write to tell you what a wonderful and relaxing time spent at your Bed & Breakfast. We are always made to be so welcome by you and the staff and with our room being so comfortable, it all rolled into a very pleasant stay. Must do it again in 2007.
Alan & Sue Box,
Wakefield.

February:  We have been coming to Whitby now for some years and it never changes much in the town but your Bed & Breakfast always comes top with the latest requirements, in this case the new fire requirements have been completed. This is our fourth time with you all at the Queensland Bed & Breakfast and we must say that your Bed & Breakfast is always comfortable and everything you present to us the guest is always so well done. May our visits continue to Whitby and The Queensland Bed & Breakfast.

July 2005: Having just spent the week at "the Queensland" I must say it was first class, and a Bed & Breakfast I would highly recommend, the whole experience was everything one would want, good food, excellent service, a lovely clean room (and such delightful white towels) the friendly atmosphere was just great!. What more could anyone ask for, a heartfelt thanks to John, Ann and their staff for making this such a pleasant experience.
We look forward to a return trip at some future date.

My  wife and I would just like to wish a warm thank you for a most relaxing quiet break.
Fantastic sized room and excellent service. Especially thanks to the young attractive lady whom endeavoured to help us with recommending trips etc. I shall be singing your praises to all-and if we're up north sometime in the future-we know where to book -many thanks.

December 29th:  Just a few lines thanking you all for making our Christmas most enjoyable. We have been away for Christmas for the past thirteen years and genuinely feel that this rates one the best ever. John you were the perfect host, Ann was superwoman in the kitchen and the food that was prepared was out of this world, Darren & Becky, not forgetting Jenny for the service given at mealtimes and any other backroom staff (chambermaids) that were involved, thank you all for an excellent job done. Hope to see you all soon especially next Christmas.

2003:
Several dates this year:  As a regular of the Queensland in Whitby over the past few years, I write to endorse the many comments John and Ann receive via emails, postcards and letters. Whitby is a super place to go and relax, throw off the worries and stresses, soaking up that Whitby atmosphere, but you also need somewhere to hang your coat, feel welcome and get some good home cooked food into you. Well, the Queensland fits the bill and I am not alone in saying this.
Gerry & Sharon
Nottingham.

August 30th:  Like many others, I write to tell you both what a lovely time we had in Whitby and your Bed & Breakfast. Splendid weather with friendly Whitby folk is what we experienced. Why go abroad when we can have this in our own country. We will come back and revisit many happy places in and around your wonderful and very historic town.

January 21st:  I know Whitby has many visitors from abroad and I am just one of those, but felt I must congratulate the town on its cleanliness and hospitality. I stayed with you for bed and breakfast for a few days and found everyone so friendly. The Bed & Breakfast was very good with comfortable beds and good food and I can recommend this Bed & Breakfast to anyone wishing to stay in Whitby.

March 15th:  Really had a great time with you all at the Queensland and what a beautiful town you all live in. Whitby has just become my favourite seaside resort and we will definitely be back. When we do, your Bed & Breakfast will be our choice, good food, very polite staff and great hosts. All the success for the future.

2001:
February 15th:  Just a few lines to say how much we enjoyed your hospitality at your Bed & Breakfast "The Queensland" of Whitby. Having settled into our wonderful room, we ventured to the bar for that after travel drink and found our bed some hours later. What great hosts you both are. Breakfast was one of the best I have ever had and served by professional people. You must be proud of your business and so you should be. See you later in the year.

October 17th:  We have been coming to Whitby now for some twenty years and it never changes much. This is our third time with you all at the Queensland Bed & Breakfast and we must say that your Bed & Breakfast is very comfortable and everything you present to us the guest is always so well done. May our visits continue to Whitby and The Queensland Bed & Breakfast.

2000:
August 22nd:  Had to put pen to paper and say how much we enjoyed Whitby and your hospitality at the Queensland Bed & Breakfast.  It is very rare to find a place so quaint as Whitby and accommodation to match, but we have.  Keep up the good work and we will see you again.
Den & Julie

Just had to send a postcard to say thanks for your hospitality. As you know, this was our first visit to your beautiful town and it will not be our last. Your warm welcome and friendly staff have made us feel we have stayed with you many times before. We will be back to Whitby in the near future and we know where to stay. Well done to you all at the Queensland.

September 13th:  We felt compelled to write to you both to thank you for our very pleasant stay at your excellent Bed & Breakfast and to commend you on your superb table and hospitality. We would like to thank John in particular in going out of his way to drop us off in Scarborough railway station, as this made our journey home so much easier. Hope we meet again in the future.

December 29th:  What a great Christmas we had with you and all your guests. The food was magnificent, the wine flowed and the grog added to it all. Words almost fail us in telling you just what we feel for you all at the Queensland Bed & Breakfast but congratulations to you all. See you all again in 2000.

January 18th:  Thought you may like to have enclosed photo`s of the Christmas & New Year gangs that stayed with you this year.  A very big thank you from me. I am very well at present and  in no small measure I am sure this is due to Ann`s  great cuisine, plus a dram or two of course. Hope to you you again....

March 12th:  Just a little note to say "Thank You" following our first stay with you at your Bed & Breakfast. We were warm and comfortable which we much appreciated after such a long cold journey in inclement weather. The Queensland breakfast is well worth getting up for with excellent service.  See you again.

February 22nd:  When working away from home it is always a hit and miss situation when seeking good accommodation.  I was so lucky to find you on the internet, open for my visiting dates and so helpful to me when I arrived. A traveller so far from home but made so welcome. Thank you both.
